Workshop Curriculum

Understanding Grooming Needs

Curly-coated pets are beautiful, but their coats come with unique challenges. In this workshop, you’ll learn the specific grooming requirements curly coats demand to keep them healthy, comfortable, and looking their best between professional grooming visits. We’ll explore why these coats need extra care and how a tailored approach makes all the difference.

Effective Grooming Techniques for Skin & Hair Health

Healthy skin is the foundation of a healthy coat. We’ll guide you through proven techniques and best practices to groom curly-coated dogs in a way that supports both skin and coat health. From preventing tangles and mats to maintaining natural curl and shine, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to care for your dog’s coat the gentle way.

Choosing the Right Tools & Products

Not all brushes, combs, and shampoos are created equal — and using the wrong ones can do more harm than good. This workshop will show you how to choose the right grooming tools and eco-friendly products specifically designed for curly coats. You’ll discover how to make grooming more efficient and effective while being kind to your dog and the planet.

Overcoming Grooming Woes with Confidence

Does grooming feel like a battle at home? We’ll help you turn it into a bonding experience instead. Learn how to build a gentle, cooperative home grooming routine that strengthens your relationship with your dog while keeping their coat in great condition between salon visits.

Why Holistic Care Matters

Curly coats often hide skin problems. A holistic approach treats the coat, skin, movement, and nutrition together to reduce recurring issues and improve long-term comfort.

  • Prevent chronic matting

  • Soothe irritated skin naturally

  • Improve mobility and play comfort

  • Reduce vet & grooming visits through proactive care
