Our Services

Every grooming journey at Wag-Wagatha Christie begins with a Meet & Treat session in Nantwich. This relaxed first step is all about building trust: no grooming involved. While the humans enjoy a brew and a chat, your canine best friend is gently introduced to the pawlour, sensory garden, and me at their own pace. It’s a chance for your dog to explore the sights, sounds, and smells; create positive associations; and for me to start getting to know how they communicate and what makes them feel safe. Laying these foundations before any grooming takes place helps ensure future visits are calm, confident and stress-free. 🐾

What your dog remembers matters. That first visit is filled with animal-centred freework, yummy healthy treats, engaging toys, and plenty of time for sniffing and exploring in the sensory garden. Most importantly, they remember the experience as safe, fun and rewarding – and the nice lady who listened to them and handed out the treats! Those positive memories mean that on their next visit, many dogs bound through the door with confidence, curiosity and a wagging tail, ready to continue their grooming journey on a happy note. 🐾

Our Canine Care Programmes

Our Canine Care Programmes are designed for dogs who need more time, understanding and support to adjust to a new way of grooming. Whether your dog is nervous, reactive, sensitive to handling, has had previous negative experiences, or simply needs a slower, more thoughtful approach, these programmes focus on building trust first and grooming second. Through short, positive sessions, animal-centred freework, desensitisation and co-operative care techniques, we work at your dog’s pace, respecting their boundaries and communication every step of the way, so grooming becomes a calm, confidence-building experience rather than something to fear. 🐾
